In this module student deepens knowledge and expertise of insect production principles. Learning aims are 1. requirements, possibilities and practical implementations of edible insect production, 2. the role of insects in utilizing side streams and as part of circular economy solutions, 3. factors affecting the insect quality, processing and use in different applications, 4. the significance of insect proteins for the nutrition of humans and animals

Working methods and scheduling: 

The course is entirely web-based. It consists of online lectures, web-based supervision, team and individual assignments.
