Course description

Competences

The student understands and can use the main basic structures and a limited basic vocabulary of the target language. You will also learn about the culture and customs of the language area.

Target level A1.1.

Content

• Greetings and introductions
• The alphabet
• Countries and nationalities
• Numbers 0-100
• The family
• Describing people
• Formal and informal ways of addressing people
• Grammar:
• Number and gender
• Articles: definite and indefinite
• Personal pronouns
• Interrogative pronouns
• Noun-adjective agreement
• Present tense of basic verbs (regular and irregular)
• Lots of speaking, listening and pronunciation

Prerequisites

This course is for students who have not studied Spanish earlier.

Course way of working and time table

Online lessons on Wednesdays from 17 January to 24 April at 16:30-18 (except weeks 8 and 15).

Course info

• 5×27 hours (135 hours)
• 75% attendance is required during the obligatory online contact lessons.

Course additional info

You must activate the SAMK-ID and @student.samk.fi email address to complete the course. After your enrolment has been processed, the Student Services Secretary will send you the activation instructions to the email you provided in the enrolment form.

Course enrolment info

There is a limited number of students approved on this course. When you filled out the electronic application (Enrolment -section), you would have seen if there were places left. If the course was full, find the waitlist with a waiting number in the end of the course title.

When your enrolment has been processed, the Student Services Secretary will send you a message with instructions on how to activate the SAMK student identifier to the email address you provided in the application form. (The message is sent just before the course begins).
