Nutrition for sports and physical activity

Beskrivning

Objective:  – You are able to apply your knowledge of nutrition to support strength and endurance training. – You are able to apply your knowledge of nutrition when guiding and counseling athletes and people exercising regularly. Content:  The course content consists of three topics related to the: – Basic knowledge of nutrition (1 ECTS credit) – Energy demand and consumption during exercise, energy metabolism (2 ECTS credits) – Nutrition, fluid balance and recovery to support endurance and strength training (2 ECTS credits)

Does not require prior knowledge.

Bedömningskriterier

The course has learning tasks and three (3) mandatory exams. You must complete your studies within three (3) months. The exams of the course must be completed during your course period.

The course is assessed as passed – failed.

Approved completion of the course (5 ECTS CR) requires that the three (3) mandatory exams have been successfully completed during your course period. More detailed evaluation criteria can be found on the course platform.

If you are planning to study in the summer, it is good to know that the credits are recorded in August. More detailed instructions are presented on the course platform.

There are learning materials in the learning environment (e.g documents etc.). Studying the subjects also requires an active, independent search for information.
