Course description

Azure Fundamentals is a course that’s all about Microsoft Azure, a cloud computing platform offering dozens of different services for multiple use cases. Cloud platforms, such as Azure, are becoming increasingly popular in today’s digital society, and after this course, you will have a solid knowledge of the opportunities Azure offers.

This course is suitable IT personnel who are just beginning to work with cloud-based solutions and services or are new to Azure. Azure Fundamentals provides you with everything you need to get started with the platform.

Coding skills or technical IT experience is not required on this course. However, having general IT knowledge will help you get the most from your learning experience. It is recommended that you complete the Elements of Cloud and Cybersecurity course offered via Microsoft Skills for Jobs before taking on this course.

The course consists of three units:

  1. Introduction to Azure
  2. Data, Storage and Safety
  3. Governance and Cost Management

You must complete every assignment in order to pass the course.

The course is offered free of charge to students coming through Campusonline from another Finnish higher education institution. Finnish higher education institution students enrol for the course in their own university’s study management system (Peppi/Pakki/Sisu) via the Cross-institute study gateway (RIPA).
