Learning outcomes and content:
In this course, students will become familiar with the basics of materials, their composition, and their roles in human systems. Students will also learn about the principles of selecting sustainable materials for applications in a circular economy.

This course is designed in a way, that you don’t need a background in SSE, in order to pass the course. However, this is the 3rd part of our goLAB course series, and we recommend that you complete parts 1 and 2 first.
Part 1: Principles of Sustainability and Circular Economy 5 ECTS Part 2: Environmental and Technical Cycles 15 ECTS

This course is divided into 3 major sections: • Sustainable Water Management • Sustainable Waste Management • Material Efficiency and Sustainable Materials Each of these will have its own theory sections, and then an exam at the end. Completing all three segments will grant students 15 study credits for completing the full course package.
Study according to your personal timetable, everyone can choose their own. The entire course can be completed independently.
Students of the other UAS (Degree students and Open Studies’ path students): Enroll for the course via Ilmoittaudu/Enrol. Use your student email on the enrollment form.
