Contents of the course: Introduction to Virtual Events

• Technical Aspects of Virtual Event Productions
• Economics of Virtual Event Productions
• Thoughts on the Future

The course is based on Vevent project which was conducted by four universities of applied sciences in Finland and funded by the European Union, ESF program, from March 2021 to April 2022. In the project, the participating universities of applied sciences (Arcada, Humak, Metropolia, SeAMK) conducted practical experiments on virtual event production as well as gathered knowledge by close discussion with the experts of XR technologies and virtual event management.

Intended learning outcomes

The student

• learns the basics of virtual event production
• understands the technical restrictions and opportunities
• is aware of the economics of virtual events

This is a self-paced online course which means that you can study the content at your own pace and schedule, within the above mentioned study period.
