Contact information of the Finnish open universities of applied sciences (UAS)

Open Studies are open for everyone regardless of education and age. Open Studies offer teaching that is carried out based on the higher education institution’s own syllabus. Open Studies are offered in daytime, evenings, weekends and on the web at most higher education institutions all across Finland. You can study according to individual study units or bigger study modules.

Open Studies are for you if

you wish to improve the know-how required in working life
you plan on applying to a higher education institution, or
you wish to improve your general knowledge on topics that interest you.

Open Studies are mainly available for those who already live in Finland. Open Studies are not full-time and do not lead to a qualification – it is therefore not possible to get a long-term student residence permit based on Open Studies.

Studies can be carried out as contact teaching, blended teaching or e-teaching.

Studying at open UAS online courses make possible to complete courses conveniently regardless of time and place – wherever best suits you. Blended teaching uses both contact teaching and e-teaching, but this form of studying also allows you to study alongside work.
